Selección Especial is the first wine from Abadía Retuerta in which the best wines of the vintage are selected and blended. All of the wines come from the estate’s vineyard, which has been separated into 54 distinct plots. This wine mostly consists of Tempranillo, which is native to the Duero Valley, and it is complemented by other varieties from the estate, chosen by tasting. The objective is to balance the quirks of each vintage while maintaining the wine’s characteristic style.
