The 2016 Confidences De Prieure Lichine is a full-bodied, complex Bordeaux blend from the Margaux appellation. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. On the nose, it has aromas of ripe blackberry, cassis, and dark cherry, with hints of tobacco, cedar, and spice. On the palate, it is smooth and velvety, with flavors of blackberry, dark cherry, and cedar, along with notes of tobacco, leather, and spice. The tannins are well-integrated and the finish is long and lingering. This is a great wine to pair with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and aged cheeses.
