From a tiny monopole subsection of Chevalier-Montrachet, this is a more ripe, concentrated and rich iteration of this legendary Grand Cru. Golden apple and white plum on the nose. A magically compelling wine, Jean-Michel is particularly passionate about the quality of terroir in Chevalier-Montrachet, considering it the equal at least of Le Montrachet, citing the finesse and delicacy of the wine's character. Courtesy of the Bathonian limestone and chalk in the vineyards, it develops a remarkable power and intensity whilst retaining incredible balance.
