Let’s talk about your ideal wines for New Year's Eve celebrations!

New Year's Eve is known as the last night of each year, when many people expect to begin the year with celebrations and party! It is common that on December the 31th from early at night, the beginning of the new year is awaited with emotion and excitement.

The celebration of New Year's Eve is celebrated in many places around the globe, it usually starts in the early hours of the night to end up at dawn on January the 1st.

It is normal enjoy this celebration on a family dinner with as many members as possible, as well as close friends, to taste the best traditional dishes of Christmas, to patiently wait for the start of the new year.

There are a lot of traditions around the world, there’s a curious one that is pretty common in almost all Spanish-speaking countries. It is sort of a ritual, where people eat twelve grapes witch each strike that the clock makes. It’s fairly common to see this practice in Hispanic communities in the U.S.

Grapes are always bringing happiness to our families, either in the purest form extracted from the ground or as wines, which shouldn’t be missing from your table the next 31 of December.

Things are starting to get better, so that could be a good reason to toast! We still have a lot to offer and we are going to do it with all our love and enthusiasm as always. The Reserve Link 2016:

It came with D.O. La Mancha, 100% Tempranillo. It is of an intense garnet color with a ruby ​​rim, clean and bright; On the nose it is elegant and complex, highlighting the spicy and liquorice notes with hints of ripe black fruit.  In flavors it presents a fairly subtle entry, with a long finish and notes of mocha and coffee. It combines well with grilled red meats, braised lamb, all kinds of Iberian products, sheep's cheeses, stews and feather game such as partridge.

Bodega Matarromera Crianza 2018

Wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero. 100% Tempranillo as well, with an elegant garnet color. In aromas, it offers soft and fresh notes with pronounced notes of red fruits such as raspberry. It combines in menus containing grilled meats, roast lamb, and even poultry. 

Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Brut

It is probably the best known champagne on the planet and the most emblematic of the House. Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Brut boasts a bright fruity character, a seductive palate and elegant maturity, all hallmarks of Moët & Chandon blends. Its assemblage is designed to reflect the richness and diversity of the vineyards of the Champagne region, especially with grapes of the Pinot Noir variety, textured by Meunier and enhanced by the freshness of Chardonnay.

It is of a mild straw yellow color with golden reflections; On the nose it is intense and complex, very rich with aromas of fruit such as apple, peach and pineapple along with citrus notes; and in the background hints of toasted nuts.

On the palate it is harmonious and creamy, displaying a good acidity that gives it freshness. Long and persistent finish.

It pairs very well with oysters, Iberian ham, brioche with butter, seafood of all kinds, foie, blue fish, red meat, soft cheeses ...

Marques de Murrieta 2016 Dalmau Reserva

Rioja of great prestige and flagship of this mythical winery. It is a reserve red made with 87% Tempranillo, 6% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo, 2% Garnacha grapes from Finca Ygay in Rioja Alta.  Aged for more than a year in American oak barrels, it has a purple-red color with intense tears. On the nose it offers complex aromas while on the palate it is tannic and very tasty, with hints of wood.

It pairs very well with white fish, lamb chops, roast suckling pig and lamb, cured cheeses.. .

 

Moet & Chandon Dom Pérignon LUMINOUS

A classic and iconic brand that reminds ourselves about the creator of the Champeonise method. A really good option in celebrations, of which everyone knows its yellow label. It has a yellow color with golden flashes and tiny bubbles. Its aroma is intense and pleasant, very fruity and somewhat sweet that is accompanied by nuts. In taste it is fresh with an intense fruity depth.

It pairs very well with white and blue fish, seafood, caviar, poultry, white meat, cured cheeses, scallop ceviche ...

Dehesa La Granja 2016:

Dehesa La Granja is a peculiar wine from the D.O. Castilla y León made with 100% Tempranillo grapes. It has a clean and bright garnet color; complex on the nose with hints of ripe red fruit with the presence of a tower factos, milk jam, aniseed, vanilla and a liquorice finish. On the palate it has a fruity sweetness and is a long wine in its sense of flavors.

It pairs very well with roast or stewed lamb and suckling pig, all kinds of Iberian products and sheep's cheeses.

Malleolus de Sanchomartín 2015:

It is a wine marked with Ribera del Duero D.O. where the terroir of this particular bottle comes from the Sanchomartín estate, a one-hectare farm located in the municipality of Pesquera de Duero. It is the last vintage of the most exclusive wine from Bodegas Emilio Moro and has achieved a score of 98/100 in the Proensa Guide and 94/100 in Robert Parker.

It is an intense cherry red color; and in the mouth it is powerful and persistent with silky tannins and sweet structure with a long and persistent aftertaste. It pairs very well with beef sirloin, sirloin with foie, boletus, roasts, Iberian sausages and cured cheeses ...

Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé:

It is one of the great references of rosé champagnes. It is presented dressed as a "zebra" to recreate the universe of creation, with the python, the leopard, the panther and the zebra. Offers elegant rose gold tones with interlocking stripes. It has very fresh aromas of red fruits, the raspberry, cherry and currant being noteworthy. It is of great intensity and freshness.

It pairs very well with marinated fish, shellfish, grilled prawns, exotic cuisines and desserts based on berries.

Mumm Grand Cordon:

Mythical champagne, one of the icons of the Maison Mumm that embodies the nobility and diversity of the vineyards of the Champagne region. It is made with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes, which come from more than 100 different crus. It has 20 years of maturation in the cellars of the house.

Its color is golden and bright, and it has a ripe fruit aroma of peach, apricot and pineapple with hints of vanilla and caramel, yeast, dried fruit and honey. In the mouth it is complex and intense with flavors of fresh fruit and caramel that metamorphose into a long and persistent aftertaste.

It pairs very well with meat or white fish and seafood of all kinds.
