Brunello di Montalcino is Tuscany’s most celebrated wine, additionally Tuscany’s rarest and longest-lived wine. Made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes grown on the slopes around Montalcino. Brunello di Montalcino is not made from the clones of Sangiovese that are the source of Chianti but, instead, from a special clone called Brunello. Famous for its layered complexity of dense fruit, Brunello di Montalcino by law must be aged a minimum of four years, including two years in barrel before released.
