The grapes are sourced from the century-old Vinha Maria Teresa plot, a small, east-facing vineyard characterized by its dry-stone terraces, low altitude, and excellent sun exposure. Quinta do Crasto+1. The plot features a diverse field blend of over 50 traditional Portuguese grape varieties, including one unidentified red variety, as confirmed by genetic mapping efforts.
