Altesino works from the northern side of Montalcino, near Torrenieri, and is credited with bringing the first single-vineyard Brunello, Montosoli, to market in the 1970s. The DOCG permits nothing but Sangiovese in the bottle and demands at least two years in wood, and this 2021 is a Brunello made to those requirements.
