Barolo D.O.C.G. Riserva Novantesimo 2011, from some of our historic vineyards, represents my wish to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the foundation of my family winery Paolo Scavino (1921-2011). For the first time since 1964, I decided to reproduce the bottle and the label used by my grandfather Lorenzo and my father Paolo. They devoted their lives to the care of vineyards, with great passion, tenacity and dignity, animated by love and respect for our land. They always deeply believed, even in the most difficult times, in the greatness of Langa’s hills, in the quality and character of its fruits. To me and my daughters Enrica and Elisa, it is an honor to carry on their values and the work they started."Lots of dried flowers, plums and tobacco box on the nose. Full body, round and juicy tannins and a savory finish. Dense and delicious. Just coming around now. A mouthful. Drink or hold."

"Pressed rose, iris, new leather, exotic spice, menthol and a whiff of wild berry come to the forefront on this gorgeous wine. The full-bodied polished palate has a weightless elegance, delivering raspberry compote, crushed cherry, licorice, aromatic herb and a floral note alongside taut velvety tannins. It's already beautiful but hold for even more complexity. Drink 2021–2031. "
