Maremma Toscana spent years as an IGT and only became a DOC in September 2011, which makes it young paperwork by Italian standards. The zone spreads across hills in the province of Grosseto, lower and closer to the Tyrrhenian than the inland Sangiovese country. This Rosso carries the Maremma name and the 2020 harvest.
