Margaux is the broadest of the Medoc's communal appellations, covering five villages: Margaux itself, plus Cantenac, Soussans, Arsac and Labarde. Chateau Palmer's vines lie in Cantenac, one of the four that sit outside the commune the appellation is named for. Only red wine may be sold under the Margaux name; whites made there go out as Bordeaux Blanc. This is the 2010.
