Ancient Peaks - 2020 - 'Santa Margarita Ranch' Merlot - 750 ml.

Paso Robles was divided into eleven sub-appellations in 2014, and Santa Margarita Ranch is the southernmost of them, sitting below the Cuesta Grade at the far end of the district. Ancient Peaks names that ranch on the label of its 2020 Merlot. Most of the red acreage around Paso Robles goes to Cabernet Sauvignon and Rhone varieties, which leaves Merlot a smaller share of the plantings here.
