Argyle's 2021 Nuthouse is a Chardonnay, and Chardonnay has a shorter working history in Oregon than the state's Pinot Noir reputation suggests. Growers planted it early on California clones cut for warmer ground, and only with the Dijon clones imported in the late 1980s did the variety settle properly into the Willamette Valley.
