DESCRIPTION

Franciacorta occupies a bowl of glacial moraine south of Lake Iseo, gravel and stone left by a retreating glacier, ground that drains quickly and keeps vine roots out of standing water. The lake tempers the nights. Barone Pizzini works in that Lombard zone, and Golf 1927 is one of its non-vintage bottlings.
