Barone Pizzini's 2019 rosé comes from Franciacorta, the Lombardy denomination whose sparkling wines take their second fermentation inside the bottle they are sold in. Rosé there is built on a substantial share of Pinot Nero. A vintage date is optional in Franciacorta. Bottlings that carry one must spend markedly longer maturing on the lees before they can be released.
