Agiorgitiko, Greece's most widely planted red grape, has its historic home in Nemea, in the Peloponnese. Ktima Biblia Chora farms it far to the north instead, on the slopes of Mount Pangeon near Kavala in Greek Macedonia — the estate built there by enologists Vangelis Gerovassiliou and Vassilis Tsaktsarlis. Their 2019 Areti Red is made entirely from the grape.
