The 1999 partnership between Mariano Garcia, for decades the winemaker at Vega Sicilia, and Javier Zaccagnini created Aalto in Ribera del Duero. The 2022 is the bottling that carries the winery name alone, made from Tempranillo, the grape Duero growers know as Tinto Fino.
