Spain grows very little Pinot Noir, and what exists usually falls outside the permitted varieties of the local denominación, which is why such wines from Castilla y León are labeled at the broader regional level. Bodegas Alta Pavina works with it anyway, and this Citius is the 2016. The grape has no traditional foothold in the Duero interior, so the bottling is a deliberate exception to local custom.
