Vin gris describes a pressing decision more than a color: Pinot Noir grapes go straight to press with minimal skin contact, so the wine finishes pale pink despite the dark grape behind it. Bouchaine works in Carneros, the appellation that straddles the Napa and Sonoma county line at the northern edge of San Pablo Bay, and this 2023 is dry.
