The Montrachet climat lies mid-slope on the Cote de Beaune with an east to southeast exposure, and its name traces back to the bare, stony hill it occupies. This 2013 Chardonnay from the site was bottled by Bouchard Pere & Fils. Because grand cru status in Burgundy attaches to the plot rather than to any estate, dozens of separate owners can release wine under the identical appellation.
