Albariño in Rías Baixas is often trained overhead on granite posts, a pergola system that lifts the fruit clear of damp ground in one of the wettest corners of Spain. Carballal's Prologo is the 2023 release under that DO, in Galicia's far southwest. Wide spacing between vines follows from the trellising, so plant counts per hectare stay low by Spanish standards.
