Medium-bodied and balanced with firm structure, plush mouthfeel and notes of cherry, blueberry and plum
Chianti Classico requires a minimum of 80% Sangiovese, and since 2006 white grapes have been banned outright, ending a long tradition of softening the blend with Trebbiano and Malvasia. Cecchi's 2020 is Sangiovese from the hills between Florence and Siena, the stretch of Tuscany that the Classico boundary was drawn around by decree in 1932.
