Castillon picked up its current name in 2009, when several Bordeaux satellite appellations were regrouped under the Côtes de Bordeaux label. Château d'Aiguilhe farms the limestone-and-clay plateau immediately east of Saint-Émilion, and its 2020 is Merlot-dominated, as most reds from this appellation are.
