DESCRIPTION

Before the Revolution, Léoville stood among the largest estates in the Médoc. The division that followed produced the three properties still sharing the name today: Las Cases, Poyferré and Barton. Las Cases kept the riverside heart of the old holding, in Saint-Julien. Its 1980 grand vin, a Cabernet-led blend, came out of a cool and very late season that pushed picking well into October.
