Chateau Meyney's 2019 is a Saint-Estephe. The appellation sits at the northern end of the Medoc's run of communal names, and its subsoils hold noticeably more clay than the deep gravel banks further south, which keeps water within reach of the vines deeper into a dry summer. Red is the only colour permitted there.
