Vina Cobos began in 1999, when California winemaker Paul Hobbs partnered with Mendoza growers Andrea Marchiori and Luis Barraud. Vinculum is Latin for a bond or a link. The 2019 is Malbec labeled to Mendoza, not to a narrower appellation such as Lujan de Cuyo. A provincial address like that covers fruit assembled from more than one district.
