Combe works in a natural winemaking style, and this 2021 is a red made from Trousseau, a thin-skinned grape rooted in France's Jura, rarely planted in California, that yields pale, light-bodied reds. Farmed and vinified with minimal intervention, it sits well outside the state's mainstream.
