Sangiovese

Morellino is the Maremma's local name for Sangiovese, and Scansano is the hill town at the centre of the zone, in southern Tuscany within sight of the Tyrrhenian coast. The area spent decades as a DOC before being promoted to DOCG in 2007. This 2020 comes from Alberto Motta.
