Dom Du Colombier - 2017 - Du Colombier Hermitage Cuvee Gaby - 750 ml.

Hermitage sits on a granite hill that turns due south where the Rhone changes direction, an orientation the rest of the northern Rhone does not get. Dom Du Colombier's 2017 Cuvee Gaby is a Syrah from that appellation, the only red grape permitted there. Appellation rules do allow a small share of white varieties inside a red Hermitage, though most growers leave them out.
