Robert Drouhin, of the Beaune house Joseph Drouhin, bought land in Oregon's Dundee Hills in 1987. Those hills sit on Jory, a red clay weathered from volcanic basalt, which sets them apart from the marine sedimentary soils of neighbouring Yamhill-Carlton and Ribbon Ridge. Arthur is the Chardonnay from that Dundee Hills estate, here in the 2023 vintage.
