Domaine François Raveneau - 2016 - Chablis 1Er Cru Butteaux - 750 ml.

Butteaux is a lieu-dit inside the Montmains premier cru, on the left bank of the Serein facing the grand crus, where Kimmeridgian marl lies shallow over limestone. Domaine Francois Raveneau bottles it as Chablis 1er Cru, and this is the 2016. Chablis sits some 100 kilometres north of Beaune, closer to Champagne than to the rest of Burgundy.
