Pinot Noir in Mendoza goes high: Uco Valley plantings sit above 1,000 metres, where cold nights hold onto the acidity that warmth would otherwise burn off, and the fierce mountain light thickens skins on a variety that has little of them. Domaine Nico's Grand Père bottling is from the 2022 harvest.
