Charles de Gaulle kept his country home at Colombey-les-Deux-Églises, a short drive from Drappier's cellars in Urville, and the family's Champagne was the one he served there. Drappier honors the connection with this cuvée bearing the general's name, a brut built on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It remains one of the very few Champagnes named after a French president.
