CSM on the label stands for Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot, the three varieties Elderton blends into this Barossa Valley red. The initials came first, back in the early 1990s, and the wine was later renamed Ode to Lorraine in tribute to Lorraine Ashmead, who co-founded the estate. Cabernet and Shiraz share a bottle far more comfortably in Australia than almost anywhere else, and the 2019 follows that template.
