Barolo Albe is blended from three high parcels around Vergne, the loftiest village in the Barolo commune. The Vaira family has been based there since 1972, when Aldo Vaira revived the family farm. Albe means "dawns" in Italian: each of the three sites catches the sunrise at a slightly different hour. And the 2022 is, as the appellation requires, Nebbiolo and nothing else.
