Vajra's 2022 Barolo Coste di Rose comes from a steep cru on the eastern flank of the Barolo commune. Its soils run unusually sandy for the zone, looser and faster-draining than the compact clay-marls that dominate the denomination. That difference is why Vajra bottles the Nebbiolo grown here on its own rather than folding it into a blend.
