By Cocchi's own account the name points two ways at once: to amaricato, an alcohol bittered with herbs and spices, and to the American habit of drinking vermouth with ice and soda. Americano Bianco is the pale expression, a Piedmontese aromatized wine carrying no vintage, sold here in the smaller 375 ml size.
