DESCRIPTION

Barbera d'Alba and Barbera d'Asti are separate denominations, and the Alba version comes from the same Langhe slopes that produce Barolo and Barbaresco. Giuseppe Cortese released this 2019 under the Morassina name. Barbera keeps high natural acidity even when fully ripe, which is why growers in the zone treat it as a distinct proposition from Nebbiolo rather than a substitute.
