DESCRIPTION

Howell Mountain was the first sub-appellation carved out of Napa Valley, approved in 1983, and its boundary starts at 1,400 feet, above the line where fog settles on the valley floor. Cabernet Franc is a minority planting up there, well behind Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel. Howell Mountain Vineyards made this one in 2019.
