DESCRIPTION

Howell Mountain sits on the eastern rim of Napa Valley, and its AVA boundary is drawn by elevation: vineyards must be planted above 1,400 feet to carry the name. This 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is hillside fruit, not valley floor. Mountain plantings make up a small share of Napa's total acreage, simply because there is less farmable ground at that height.
