Grown in the southern Peloponnese around Laconia and Monemvasia, Kydonitsa came close to disappearing before growers began replanting it in recent decades. Ieropoulos bottles it here as a 2024 white under the variety's own name. Total plantings remain tiny, which makes a Kydonitsa on an American shelf a genuine outlier.
