this very small vineyard (less than 3 hectares- 7.5 acres), in the shape of a square, is completely surrounded by the other Grand Crus of Gevrey (Chambertin, etc). A remarkable wine is produced here.

Of the nine grand crus attached to Gevrey-Chambertin, Griotte-Chambertin is the smallest: roughly 2.7 hectares along the Route des Grands Crus. Only a handful of growers and négociant houses have access to its fruit, Joseph Drouhin among them, and this 2019 Pinot Noir is the house's version of the scarcest name in the commune.
