La Playa - 2019 - Carmenere - 750 ml.

Carmenere spent most of the twentieth century in Chile under the wrong name, sold as Merlot until DNA work in the 1990s untangled the two; by then the grape had nearly disappeared from Bordeaux, where it originated. La Playa grows this 2019 in Colchagua, in the warm interior stretch of the Rapel Valley.
