Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvedre almost never share a label in France, where one answers to Bordeaux and the other to Provence and the southern Rhone. Both are in this 2012 Gold Reserve, which follows from how Massaya was assembled: the Ghosn brothers founded it in the 1990s with French partners from both places. Mourvedre ripens late wherever it grows, part of why so few regions outside the Mediterranean plant it.
