The Ruwer is a short tributary that joins the Mosel just east of Trier, and Maximin Grünhaus sits on its slopes: the property belonged to the monks of St. Maximin in Trier for centuries before passing to the von Schubert family in 1882. This Schloss Riesling comes from the 2023 harvest, labeled under the broad Mosel appellation that folds in the Ruwer and Saar side valleys along with the main river.
