Ruby red in hue with glints of violet, our first-ever 100% Cabernet Franc is proudly presented with appropriate anticipation, given its standing as our selection for this 30th edition of remarkable Black List releases. The nose is expressive, offering notes of red, blue, and black fruits with a graceful ebullience. Ripe raspberry, juniper and blueberry mark the attack, as do suggestions of fennel and dry herbs. Aged for 18-months in 60% new French Oak, the wine displays medium-plus acidity and exceptional balance, evincing a delineated structure delineated by silky, supple tannins. Lithe, agile and focused from its opening entreaty to a memorable landing at the finish; the wine is reminiscent of the beguiling actress Mila Kunis, in her memorable role as Lily, the deliciously viperish Black Swan (Odile), clearly a ballerina on a mission in the acclaimed thriller, Black Swan.
