Subregion: Columbia Valley

Washington grew no commercial Syrah before 1986, when the first cuttings went into Red Willow Vineyard in the Yakima Valley. The grape has since spread through the state's warm interior, where it ripens reliably in seasons that would strain cooler-climate varieties. Novelty Hill bottled this Syrah from the 2022 harvest.
