Petite Chapelle sits just below the grand cru Chapelle-Chambertin on the south side of Gevrey-Chambertin, sharing much of that vineyard's mid-slope position. Gevrey itself holds nine grand crus, more than any other village in Burgundy. Pierre Mayeul's 2019 comes from the premier cru rung just beneath them.
