R.W. Moore Vineyard was planted in 1905 in Coombsville, southeast of the town of Napa, and its head-trained vines are still producing more than a century later. Robert Biale, a Napa winery devoted almost entirely to heritage Zinfandel and Petite Sirah sites, drew this 2022 from that historic block. Vines this old set a fraction of a normal crop, which is part of why so few survived the valley's waves of replanting.
