Sanford & Benedict is the vineyard that put this corner of Santa Barbara County on the map: planted in 1971, decades before the Sta. Rita Hills became an AVA, it proved the cold western Santa Ynez Valley could ripen Burgundian grapes. Sandhi, the project of sommelier Rajat Parr and winemaker Sashi Moorman, drew its 2022 Chardonnay from those historic rows.
