Again in 2018 our Syrah and Petite Sirah vineyard in the sloping foothills of the Vaca Mountains has yielded a dark, liquid feast of great richness and depth.
Relentless is Shafer Vineyards' Syrah-and-Petite-Sirah blend, grown on the family's Napa Valley plantings. The name pays tribute to Elias Fernandez, the winemaker who joined Shafer in 1984 and spent decades shaping its cellar. The 2018 followed a long, even Napa growing season that ran without major heat spikes.
